The Communication Portfolio keeps our community connected by managing the Society’s website, mailing list, and social media (Facebook, LinkedIn, X). It also supports smooth communication within the Society through organised document sharing and updates.

Our Membership Portfolio ensures a seamless experience for our members. We manage sign-ups, payments, and certificates, while clearly defining membership benefits, fees, and renewal timelines. We also focus on growing our community by attracting new members through collaborations with our Communications and Events teams and providing easy access via our website.

This portfolio oversees the planning and execution of society events, including our biennial conference, workshops, and training courses. A wide range of activities, including training sessions, seminars and workshops falls under this portfolio. The aim is to ensure each event is well-organised, informative and valuable for all participants.

This portfolio aims to build relationships with strategic partners, including but not limited to the Water Research Commission, WISA, SACNASP, DWS and IWMI. This helps to create and promote funding, networking and other opportunities for SAHS members.

This portfolio manages our engagement with key regulatory bodies, including SACNASP and SAICE. We ensure council representation, support professional registration processes, and maintain our recognition as a valued entity. The team also oversees CPD point allocation for events, liaises with regulatory bodies, and pursues funding opportunities to support conferences and other initiatives.
